Selfvation Spotlight: Trinity – Finding Peace Behind the Lens And With Community

Selfvation Member Spotlight

There are people in this community who show up quietly, consistently, and with heart. They don’t need to be loud to make an impact — they let their presence, energy, and creativity speak for itself. Trinity is one of those people.

He rolls into meets in a 2000 Subaru Impreza wagon, often reserved but always observant, soaking in the scene through both his eyes and his camera lens. Originally from Batesburg-Leesville, Trinity found his way into the Selfvation family the way most do — through a shared moment, a conversation, and the desire for something real.

“I met you a few years ago at a meet in Greenwood and we got to talking about cars and about Selfvation and when you hosted a meet at the Greer parking garage I saw that you made a group on Facebook so I decided to join so I could start going to meets and shows again.”

He’s been with us ever since.

What stands out about Trinity is his honesty. He doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, and that’s exactly what makes him a pillar in this space. When asked what keeps him coming back, his answer is simple and genuine:

“I love how chill everyone is and everyone is nice and laid back.”

It’s a reflection of what Selfvation aims to be — a space where people can breathe, grow, and just be themselves without judgment.

Street Techniques, Impact, and Community

Like many of us, Trinity has favorite spots and standout memories. When we asked what event has left the biggest impression so far, he didn’t hesitate:

“It has to be StreetTechniques it’s always a great time.”

He appreciates a laid-back, diverse atmosphere — shows that feel more like a gathering of individuals than a competition of builds. But more importantly, he values the people.

“Almost everyone in Selfvation has had a great impact on me and pushed me towards my goals.”

This is the type of feedback that reminds us why we do what we do. Selfvation isn’t about being the biggest or the flashiest — it’s about building each other up and showing up consistently, not just to events, but for each other.

Trinity’s personal goals are also grounded and real:

“Coilovers and maybe get my car wrapped or painted.”

They’re attainable, but they mean something to him. His car is more than a machine — it’s part of the process of reclaiming confidence and peace.

“To me it's an escape from my depression and anxiety I get to get out of the house and meet new people.”

And maybe most of all:

“That I’m very introverted and don’t like talking to new people.”

But you wouldn’t guess it. Because even as an introvert, Trinity shows up. And when someone like that makes the effort to be present, it means something.

“To me it's about having each other to lean on and get help and advice with no one having a bad thing to say about each other like other groups.”

Sacred Moments

Trinity also documents life behind the lens. His photography, Sacred Moments Photography, isn’t about chasing clout or just snapping rolling shots. It’s about feeling. Capturing joy. Telling the truth.

“Photography came to me when I was younger and I liked to capture moments in life and share it with others hoping to bring them joy or happiness.”

He shoots cars — yes — but also couples, engagements, and weddings. And it’s those personal sessions that seem to hit the hardest.

“I did a photoshoot of my wife at the river and she was so worried about how she looked but when I got done editing them she was in love and she had a happy cry cause she felt better about herself.”

That’s what Trinity captures — the version of people they forget to see in themselves. That’s a gift.

He’s actively booking now, especially weekends. You can follow and contact him here: Facebook: Sacred Moments Photography Instagram: @Sacred_Moments__Photography

“I'm working on making it my full-time job and shooting cars, engagement photos, weddings and couples — pretty much anything you could want or need done I’m setup for.”

Why This Matters

Trinity represents the why behind Selfvation. The people who don’t always raise their hand first. The quiet creatives. The ones who show up even when it’s hard. Who use cars and photography not for attention, but for healing.

This isn’t just a car group. This is about finding a place where you don’t have to be anyone other than who you are. Trinity proves that every time he brings his camera, his wagon, and his presence to a meet.
