The Journey of Two Automotive Enthusiasts
At the heart of the Greenville car community lies Carisma Detailing. This business, born from a shared passion for cars, thrives on the desire to serve others. Rebekah and Andy, the husband-and-wife duo behind Carisma, share their inspiring journey. They transitioned from automotive enthusiasts to successful business owners, offering insights into their work, values, and the impact they aim to create.
The Origin Story: A Twist of Fate
How Did Carisma Detailing Get Started?
Rebekah and Andy grew up in Greenville, naturally drawing them into the vibrant local car scene. Over time, as their relationship blossomed, cars and motorsports became a vital part of their lives. The shift to entrepreneurship, however, came unexpectedly.
“When COVID hit, everything changed,” Rebekah explains. “I was laid off, and Andy lost most of his hours. What had always been a side project—detailing—suddenly became our path forward. We decided to turn our passion into a career.”
Their journey highlights the resilience and creativity displayed by many small business owners during the pandemic. Carisma Detailing wasn't just a response to challenges; it was an opportunity to follow their passion wholeheartedly.
Building Relationships and Delivering Excellence
What Sets Carisma Detailing Apart?
At Carisma, relationships come first. “We’ve always focused on building long-term connections,” Andy says. “Many of our clients have become close friends. We never see anyone as merely a business opportunity.”
This philosophy permeates their work ethic. Transparency and honesty guide every interaction. “We’ve likely talked ourselves out of a lot of money by being upfront about what can and cannot be done,” says Rebekah. “But it’s worth it to do the right thing.”
Their commitment to helping clients extends beyond detailing services. Rebekah and Andy use their expansive local network to connect clients with trusted automotive services. They even refer clients to other detailers when necessary. Their ultimate goal is simple: to provide value and build trust, regardless of the situation.
Memorable Projects: Leaving a Mark
What Are Some Of The Most Memorable Cars You’ve Worked On?
Carisma’s portfolio includes an impressive lineup of vehicles. “We’ve worked on seven-figure Ferraris, including the 288 GTO formerly owned by Niki Lauda, along with countless GT Porsches,” Rebekah shares.

However, it's the projects with deep emotional connections that are the most impactful. A notable upcoming pro bono project is dedicated to a client's mother who lost her son to ALS. “Using our skills to help someone through a tough time is incredibly rewarding. These moments make our work truly meaningful,” Rebekah adds.
The Carisma Commitment to Quality
How Do You Ensure the Highest Quality in Your Services?
Carisma prioritizes quality above all. By focusing on just 1–2 vehicles at a time in their controlled shop environment, they ensure that every detail is executed perfectly. “We’re always learning and investing in the best tools to enhance our craft,” Andy explains.
Community Involvement: More Than Just Business
How Important Is Community Involvement at Carisma Detailing?
Community serves as the backbone of Carisma’s identity. “We’ve been part of Greenville’s car community our entire lives, so it’s only natural that Carisma reflects that,” Rebekah explains.
However, their approach to community involvement is intentional. “We don’t use our involvement to promote the business. Supporting others is about doing the right thing—not about what we gain in return,” she adds.
Selfvation and the Carisma Connection

The Path to Selfvation
“How did you first hear about Selfvation?” Andy recalls meeting Angel at the DripLab open house event, which became a turning point. “His sincerity and passion for Selfvation were contagious. Meeting someone who is genuinely invested in building a supportive community is rare.”
Advice for Joining the Selfvation Community
Rebekah encourages those interested in the Selfvation car community to “jump in with both feet!” She describes it as an inclusive, supportive space filled with people who genuinely care for one another.
Fun Facts: A Unique Story
What’s a Fun Fact About You or Your Business?
Rebekah and Andy’s story is unique—they were both delivered by the same doctor, three years apart. “We like to think it was fate,” Rebekah laughs.
Carisma’s beginnings might surprise people too. “Many assume Andy started the business, but I was actually the first to go full-time. My job loss during COVID led to this journey. Life works in mysterious ways!”
Looking Ahead: The Future of Carisma Detailing
Where Do You See Carisma Detailing in 5 to 10 Years?
Andy envisions continued growth while staying true to their core values. “We hope to offer more services and keep supporting the community that has supported us.”
Advice for Aspiring Business Owners
“Have a plan, and build relationships,” Rebekah advises. “Detailing is hard work. Starting from scratch during a pandemic taught us that a strong support system is invaluable. The local detailing community has been incredibly supportive, and we’re grateful for the friendships we’ve made.”
Closing Thoughts
Rebekah and Andy wish to express a heartfelt message to the Selfvation audience: "Thank you for supporting us and the car community. This journey hasn’t been easy, but we’re incredibly grateful for the love and encouragement we’ve received. The car community has become our chosen family, and we hope it brings the same joy to others."
